BASU BIOGRAPHY
Bipasha Basu was born on January 7, 1979
in New Delhi. Her first name means "Deep, dark desire " .In her childhood she
was called ugly due to her dark skin. Now Bipasha with her extreme sexy figures
holds the hearts of millions of people across South Asia.This 5' 8" light-eyed,
Kolkatta girl that according to her emerged on media screens by luck.
At home they are five, her mother father
an elder sister named Bidisha and a younger sister named Bijoyeta .Bipasha was
raised in Kolkata as her family moved to Kolkata from New Delhi.At home her nick
name was bonny. Bipasha is a commerce graduate . She said acting and modeling
was not her passion when she was young and she wanted to be a doctor . So she
took science classes till intermediate. Later on she dropped an idea to become a
doctor and planned to be a Charted accountant. Basu acknowledged that she
believes
Mehr Jesia is her godmother, as it was a chance stumble upon with Mehr that
changed her life forever. Mehr is the one who recommended that Basu participate
in the Ford Supermodel of the World contest. Bipasha won the Ford Supermodel of
the World contest at the age of seventeen. She also started modeling for various
designers. So a number of commercials came to her way.She was also named Tulips
Miss Super Vivacious. To prove herself on the
International scene, she went to USA and Paris. In the States, she had worked
with a topmost modelling agency Ford. She also worked for the World famous
photographer Steven Mizhel and featured for the vogue Magazine. She worked as a model before she was signed
for her first film. Bipasha has been one of the most triumphant
model-turned-actresses.
She set foot on the silver screen
with her debut film " Ajnabi" which was reasonably a successful
movie.Bipasha soon signed for various other movies. She attracted consideration
with her roles in Raaz (2002) and Jism (2003). Raaz, though not a very successful
movie brought her into publicity and many offers too. Her role in Jism brought
her in public eyes and afterwards she was marketed as sex symbol. She later appeared in the 2006 film Phir Hera
Pheri, which did well at the box office. Basu was the female lead in
Corporate, she received much compliments for her performance.Dhoom 2
is her latest release with Yash Raj Films, which was a massive hit overseas and
in India. In
Vikram Bhatt’s Aetbaar, Bipasha shows the maturity of an actress. She proves
that besides playing sexual roles on screen she is also capable of handling
complex roles .She has also appeared
in music videos, such as Tu Kab Ye Janegi... for Sonu Nigam’s album,
Kismat and in Jay Sean's Stolen.
